Employment Information

A completed application must include all of the following, if applicable:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Resume 
  • Letter of Interest 
  • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation (written in the past six months)
  • Copy High School Diploma or College Degree(s)
  • Unofficial Transcriptions (Official Transcripts when hired requested upon within 30 days) 
  • Arizona Teacher Certificate (Required for certified positions)
  • AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required when hired)
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Other Certification (Food Handler’s Permit, CDL, etc.) 

We will keep your application on file in the Human Resources department for six (6) months past the date of submission. We will evaluate your application for the requirements for the position(s) applied for. We may schedule an interview you meet the requirements.

    Substitute Teaching

    Permit & Education Requirements

      The state of Arizona requires all substitute teachers to possess a bachelor’s degree in any field and obtain a substitute teaching (PreK through 12) certificate.

      • To apply for a substitute teaching (PreK through 12) certificate, you must complete an application.
      • Obtain a fingerprint clearance card (IVP) at the Arizona Department of Education site.
      • Submit the substitute teaching (PreK through 12) certificate, fingerprint card, official college transcripts, and substitute certificate fee to:

      • Or in person between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at:

      • Your substitute certificate is good for 6 years.

      Background Check Information

      The state of Arizona requires a fingerprint clearance card prior to approving the substitute teaching certificate. *Individual districts may require additional background checks. Please review ‘background check’ located in the application for those specific details.

      • To obtain a fingerprint clearance card, visit the Arizona Department of Education site.
      • Fingerprint cards can take four to six weeks to process.
      • The cost is about $75.00 but can vary by vendor location.
      • Fingerprint clearance cards are valid for six years.

      Student Intern/Student Teaching

      The district instituted a procedure which maintains the safest environment for the students. Before we release your placement information, we require you to complete the online application and review the student intern and student-teacher information packet.
