VISION STATEMENT

In keeping with the mission and goals of Red Mesa School District, this department is committed to providing staff and students with the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly complex information society. The ability to process and manipulate information has already become the single most important determiner of economic success for individuals as well as states and nations. In this new information age, the ability to gather and distribute information through electronic communication is vital. Therefore, this departments vision is to graduate students who are comfortable with and proficient in using educational technology in all its forms as information resources and to possess the skills to interact with individuals or organizations and agencies through computer telecommunications.

Goal 1:  Provide training and support to ensure that all faculty members become proficient in the use of the technology that is available to them in the classroom.

Goal 2:  Improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in schools with a target of fully integrating technology into the academic curriculum.

Goal 3:  Ensure that teachers, staff, and administrators are involved, and that they are proficient in the use and integration of technology through professional development activities. 

Goal 4:  Ensure that all schools have the capacity, infrastructure, staffing, and equipment to meet academic and business needs for effective and efficient operations.

Goal 5:  Ensure that all schools will be positively involved in collaboration and partnerships that are supportive of technology use and curricular integration
